Boards & Commissions
To take advantage of community resources, the City utilizes a number of commissions, committees and/or task forces to advise the City Council on a wide range of activities. Committees, boards and task forces are generally formed on an ad hoc basis to provide assistance to the City Council for a specific project and as a result have a term limited to the particular project.
Commissions are standing bodies established by City ordinance or resolution for long-term service and are not connected with one particular project. These bodies are usually ongoing and meet on a regular basis each month.
Vacancies are filled twice each year during the spring and summer/fall. The Local Appointments list shows the members whose terms of office expire in 2023. The names on this list are subject to change based on resignations or terminations that occur during the year.
