The Pleasanton Library hosted a 20th Anniversary Celebration for its Paws to Read program. The Paws to Read program’s innovative approach to the development of critical reading skills has made it hugely successful in helping children develop greater confidence in reading.
By providing a comforting, non-judgmental space for children to read aloud, this program helps them build confidence in their skills and overcome insecurities. Other positive impacts include improved reading scores, increased reading fluency, and greater self-esteem.
