The City’s official Facebook page was recently compromised, and City staff have since determined that the best path forward is to develop a brand-new page to serve as the community’s go-to source for up-to-date, factual information on the social media platform. And in an effort to expand its social presence and share important information with a wider audience, the City is launching its first-ever citywide Instagram account. Through Instagram, the City aims to digitally engage with additional segments of the population that may not be active on its other platforms.
