Gerry Beaudin
City Manager
Gerry was selected to serve as Pleasanton’s City Manager in 2022. Gerry is committed to the priorities of the Council, leading the organization and creating an environment where Pleasanton’s high quality of life is well-preserved.
Gerry brings 20 years of public management experience, including four years as the City of Pleasanton’s Community Development Director working on a wide range of projects, including Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch, the Workday campus and legislative advocacy around housing. Prior to his appointment as City Manager, he was the Assistant City Manager for the City of Alameda where he worked on a financial plan, equity and inclusion initiatives and climate-related adaptation and resilience efforts.
Gerry holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, as well as a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto. He is a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service. He is also certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a member of the International City/County Management Association.
