The 2024 Holiday Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) promotion was a tremendous success, generating over $31,900 in gift card sales and driving local spending throughout the season. Although the bonus card promotion has concluded, Gift Pleasanton eGift cards are still an excellent way to support local businesses.

Small Business Saturday
The holiday shopping season kicks off after Thanksgiving with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Small Business Saturday in between—one of the busiest times of the year for retailers. Small Business Saturday is a dedicated day to support small businesses and recognize the entrepreneurial spirit that drives them.
Pleasanton is home to more than 3,350 small businesses, which collectively employ over 32,000 people. Whether you’re shopping, dining, or using local services, your support makes a difference. Save the date for Saturday, November 29, 2025, and celebrate the businesses that help make our community thrive!
2024 Pleasanton Holiday Gift Guide
The 2024 Pleasanton Holiday Gift Guide was a resource to highlight local retail, restaurants, personal services, fitness studios, and entertainment businesses in Pleasanton. This initiative, created by the City, was designed to support local businesses during the holiday season by reaching over 34,000 households across the Tri-Valley area and offering a digital version for even greater visibility.
Standalone copies were also distributed at city facilities and public locations throughout the holidays, helping residents and visitors discover the incredible variety of offerings right here in Pleasanton.
Remember, supporting local businesses doesn’t have to be limited to the holiday season—our small business community thrives when supported year-round!

Pleasanton Business Anniversary Recognition
Annually, the City of Pleasanton recognizes Pleasanton-based businesses celebrating milestone anniversaries. We – as an organization and a community – recognize the caliber and commitment of our businesses and their contribution to the quality of life enjoyed in Pleasanton through the goods and services they provide our community and the residents they employ. Milestone anniversaries for 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 years are recognized each year in the fall/winter.
