Located just outside of downtown Pleasanton, BottleTaps is a family-friendly restaurant and bar offering a complete selection of over 200 craft beer styles, as well as wines, meads, ciders, kombucha, and non-alcoholic beverages. Whether you’re a seasoned beer lover or someone simply looking for a place to relax with the whole family, BottleTaps provides a fun and inviting atmosphere where everyone can find something they’ll love.
BottleTaps was born from Eric and Michele Wall’s love for craft beer and their vision of creating a welcoming space for the community. Eric, is a Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) Certified Beer Judge, who along with his father and partner Daniel learned the craft from his grandfather over 30 years ago. Michele, with more than 35 years of experience in the local restaurant industry, brings her expertise in curating exceptional dining experiences. Together, they’ve developed a place where customers can discover diverse beer styles, enjoy delicious food, and take part in fun, interactive events. “Our goal was to create a place where people could explore craft beer, learn about its many styles, and pair it with great food in a lively atmosphere,” says Eric.
One of BottleTaps’ favorite experiences is when customers discover new beers they never expected to enjoy. “At our first Beer vs Wine Pairing Dinner, many guests who said they didn’t like beer ended up trying new styles and finding beers they loved,” reflects Michele. “It was a great reminder that beer is for everyone, and we’re here to help people find what works for them.”
BottleTaps is more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s a hub for the Pleasanton community. “We wanted to create a space that welcomes everyone, whether you’re coming in for a quick bite or a long evening with friends,” shares Michele. “The support we’ve received from our customers, especially during tough times like the pandemic, has been incredible.”
The BottleTaps team plays a huge role in making the experience exceptional. “Our staff is highly trained and passionate about beer, which makes a big difference when it comes to recommending the perfect beer or teaching customers about different styles,” says Eric. “And our kitchen team works magic in a small space, consistently delivering award-winning dishes.”For those looking for a fun night out, BottleTaps hosts exciting weekly events. Trivia Night on Tuesdays (7:00-9:00 p.m.) offers a chance to test your knowledge and win prizes, including gift cards and beverages. On Thursdays (7:00-9:00 p.m.), Xtreme Music Bingo invites guests to play Bingo in a whole new way by listening to 30-second music clips to identify the songs on their bingo cards to win prizes every round. Both events are free to play and offer plenty of interactive fun!
BottleTaps also offers a private room for special events like birthdays, baby showers, and team parties, making it an ideal spot for celebrations or work functions. “It’s a place to unwind, make memories, and enjoy everything from craft beers to delicious bites,” says Michele.
